New editor for Australian Author  

The Australian Society of Authors is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Visontay as editor of the Society’s journal, Australian Author. He takes up the position with the April edition of 2010.
 
Michael Visontay brings to this role his skill as a writer and a wealth of experience in magazine and print journalism and editing. He has been features editor of The Sydney Morning Herald, editor of that paper’s Spectrum supplement, and managing editor of its lift-out supplements. He has also been deputy editor of The Sun-Herald.
 
Australian Author is the country’s leading source of analysis and comment on professional writing and publishing industry matters for authors. The ASA looks forward to Michael’s guidance and management of the journal and the part he will play in advancing authors’ interests through this important medium.
