Who can join
Join the ASA if you are:

 • a published writer or illustrator in book, magazine or electronic formats (Full membership);
 • interested in the craft of writing or illustrating but as yet unpublished (Affiliate membership);
 • enrolled in a full-time or part-time course (Student membership);
 • an organisation with similar membership and interests to the ASA (Organisational membership).

Members have access to the ASA's services and contribute to our work promoting and protecting the interests of Australia's literary creators.

Membership fees
Members pay an annual membership fee of:

 • $150 for Full members
 • $110 for Affiliate / Student members
 • $350 for Organisational members
Plus a one-off joining fee of $22 (all fees are GST inclusive).

How to join
Join online by completing the form below or print the Membership Application Form and send or fax it to the ASA. Payment can be made by cheque or credit card (online payment not currently available).
